Lube base oil from crude oil has been containing a lot of paraffin wax and microcrystalline wax. Refined wax is produced thru deoiling process from slack wax which has been producing by dewaxing process for lube oil.
This product is a mixture consisting a lot of iso-paraffinic, some of N-paraffin, naphthenic and aromatic hydrocarbons, with 31-50 carbon numbers.
Molecular weights of commercial Microcrystalline wax is 450-700. This is a light yellow crystallization, which is higher melting point and viscosity than paraffin wax.
